Dorgan Ask for Tribal Leaders Input on Government Agency Services

WASHINGTON DC –
On November 17, 2009, Chairman Byron Dorgan submitted a letter to tribal leaders, asking for their input on services provided by the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Indian Health Service. The letter asks tribal leaders to highlight programs that are working well to address tribal government needs, and for those programs or services that are not meeting expectations – Dorgan asks that tribes provide details and propose solutions to improve the program or delivery of services mentioned. Tribal responses will be used to help the Committee meet its oversight responsibilities
